EDIT: I misspoke n the first few minutes: do believe the Bible for what is written, but study, investigate, and evaluate its claims to show it is true. Sorry for any confusion.
The Lord has given us a mind to search out the truth. Despite personal opinions and ideas about the external world, we still must wrestle with facts that don’t sway with opinion, but because you’ve been given the ability to have an opinion, we must weigh what we believe versus what we want to believe. I’m speaking to you people who have learned hard lessons in the last 4-5 when you became aware of your reality and how external forces may have shaping your reality despite what you wanted to believe or wanted to comprehend.
Today, I’m speaking about how deductive reasoning and critical thinking shape what our decisions can be and should be, despite what our personal biases may be. The opportunity to be real with ourselves and to hold truth as sacrosanct must be the imperative for the Christian because despite what we desire, The Word Of God defines reality; we just need to choose God’s reality versus our own.
The choice is major because one choice will lead towards The Lord and His grace; the other will lead towards The Lord’s judgement and eternal hell. My hope is that when you listen to this podcast, you think through how you make decisions and come to conclusions. I give examples of how I reasonably deduce assumptions I hold to help me critically think through circumstances.
My prayer is that you’d listen to this and reevaluate how you look at the world and your ideas about God and your circumstances. I hope that you hear me when I say that what you think truly will have an eternal impact on your well-being.

Bible References:
Acts 17:2 - Paul Reasoned (look at the whole chapter though; this is an example of why its important to be well read and understanding of secular ideas, beliefs, culture)
2 Peter 3:16 - Peter references Paul’s writing; there are secularists who try their best to negate Paul’s writings, but even the supposed Super Apostle Peter affirmed Paul’s writings/letters and affirmed that those writings were coming from The Lord’s Spirit
Jude 3 - Jude even wanted to write to encourage believers about the faith, but instead wrote about false teachers; the apostles took false teaching very, very seriously as should you
Galatians 2:1-2 - Paul studied what we call the Old Testament, and concluded that his Damascus road experience was with The Holy God, Jesus Christ; he did personal and diligent study on this topic
Galatians 3:28 - ALL are equal in Christ Jesus, not a social program or social stance
Titus 2:11 - God’s grace is given to all
Acts 11 - Gentiles receive the Holy Spirit; this was astounding to the Jews (Peter, John, etc.) because they thought only Jews would be used by God and come to God, this dispelled all the misconceptions about what The Lord was really doing through The Holy Spirit
Psalm 119:151
Proverbs chapter 3, 8, and 12
Proverbs 23:23 (Michael Jordan verse)
