We are one day away from the US bombing Iran in a potential war that could impact all of us in one way or the other, good or bad. My hope is that you find a calm voice in this recording that leads you to want to know God via the Scriptures in Jesus Christ to assess the world from a biblical perspective.
I believe that pastors have an immense duty to tell you what is happening in the world and to give voice to your concerns and fears while also encouraging you to grow in your faith while also being an encouragement to others. I believe that speaking into culture and the world is what the forefathers in the Bible did while leading non-believers to Jesus explaining and expounding The Text.
Be a wise individual and study, do the work of an evangelist and relate the events of the world to the truth of The Text so that people understand why you have the hope you do in Jesus. Also, take a step back and seek out wisdom despite knee-jerk desires to react negatively or positively about everything that happens around you; be a discerner and take your time in reacting.
God has given us His Spirit to lead us through troubled waters in life. Ask God for wisdom and pray the Scriptures over yourself. Seek His Kingdom and His Messiah and what you learn will encourage and bring peace to hearts that are troubled and fearful in times that are uncertain.
God bless you all; pray for one another, our nation, and people’s souls.
The Wry Pastor
